She enjoys exploring parks and restaurants with her boys, University of Texas football, the Astros, cooking, and traveling the world with her family. Bayona lives with her husband, an emergency medicine physician, their two young boys (born in 20), and their schnauzer mix, Patterson. She has a passion for breastfeeding and helping parents optimize sleep and schedules with new babies. Bayona completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas McGovern Medical campus, working at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, Lyndon B. They moved to Houston together for their residencies. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and will be a Longhorn for life! She then attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for her medical degree, where she met her husband on the first day of school. She grew up in Metairie, Louisiana, just outside New Orleans, then moved to San Antonio for high school. Bayona was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and spent a couple of years in Ann Arbor, Michigan before becoming a southerner.
